The children’s church is always a hive of activity, learning and fun. Every Sunday during the 10.30 service there is a crèche (0-2) staffed by volunteers. On all but the first Sunday of the month we also run Busy Bees, The Ark and Orbit. Parents are very welcome to stay in the session with their children, but we encourage them to be part of the worship in church, leaving their children to be blessed and supervised by our trained volunteers. Children should be collected by their parents at the end of each session.

Crèche for babies and toddlers
The crèche is the place where babies and toddlers can first begin to engage with Bible stories and songs, appropriate for their age. There are lots of soft and tactile toys designed to stimulate minds and encourage sharing. The crèche is staffed by trained and experienced volunteers and is designed to be a place where babies and toddlers are safe and happy, allowing parents and carers to engage with the morning service.
Busy Bees (for children in reception year at school)
Busy Bees is an energetic and fast paced environment where children are growing and developing their faith. There is a mixture of free play alongside a more structured story, song and arts and crafts time. Volunteers use a range of skills from music to drama to communicate fun and relevant Bible stories.
The Ark (for children in Key Stage 1; school years 1-3)
The Ark is a fun and vibrant space for children in Key Stage 1. Using Splash resources from Scripture Union, each session explores key Bible teaching and principles that are interactive, engaging and applicable to the children. There is a mixture of arts based craft as well as transitional games that have a teaching point to help the children relate biblical truths to their lives.
Orbit (for children in Key Stage 2; school years 4-6)
Orbit are a group of older children who aim to love the Lord and serve the church and their community. Members of this group are already involved in many aspects of church life from playing in the worship band, leading prayers and being part of the welcome and hospitality team. Their teaching sessions are a mixture of fellowship, fun, food and faith, exploring ways in which their faith can impact and serve the local community.
On certain Sundays throughout the year - eg Harvest, Mothering Sunday etc - there is an all-age service where the children stay together with the adults in the main service.
The all age service usually lasts about an hour. Crèche facilities are always on offer.
