Midweek House Groups

If Sunday is where we celebrate, midweek is where we grow. House groups typically comprise 8-12 people and meet on a weekly basis.

The aim of a house group is to create and sustain a forum of trust so that as individuals we can come out of hiding and learn to be real, living lives marked by undefended generosity and godly joy.

House groups usually begin with a catch up and chat over a simple meal (or tea, coffee and home baked pastries in the morning group).

Most groups allow time and space to worship God. Considerable time is given to an interactive study of the Bible. This is usually led by one of the group leaders who also facilitates subsequent discussion. The Bible studies each term are designed to accompany the Sunday sermon series. The time together usually ends in prayer.

The groups join together with other members of the church on the first Tuesday of each month for worship and prayer - St Dionis Central. This gathering is open to all and usually takes place within the church building. There are no individual House Group meetings during the first week of each month.
