Steve, Julia and Esme Taylor

Steve and I got married in 2006 and soon after joined St. Dionis (following a long church ‘shopping expedition’).

A highlight of our involvement here has been the Alpha course in 2007 where we led one of the discussion groups. One person in our group came to living faith in Jesus Christ and several others deepened their commitment to Jesus.

Our daughter Esme arrived in February 2008; she was christened in December last year.  Both of us love being parents.

last Spring Steve gained a much deeper insight into spiritual realities through the “Recovering Truth, Living Free” course run by Tim.  We are both becoming more aware of spiritual warfare in our daily lives and how the Holy Spirit helps us fight in that war. It’s given us new resolve to grow as Christians.

We have been really encouraged by what God has been doing recently at St D's. There's lots of things we could mention but what stands out has been our home group. Over the last year we've really seen people open up and grow in their faith, and we've also grown in our friendships with each other. It's been a privilege to pray with each other through the hard times and praise God for his faithfulness in answered prayer and constant blessings, from the tiny things to the big. I pray that we can continue to see God building us in His likeness so that we reflect him to everyone we meet.
