What is Alpha?

The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the central truths of the Christian faith for themselves. It’s relaxed and low key; we insist that Alpha is a place where no question is thought to be too simple or too hostile.

What’s involved?

There is a meal together at the beginning of each session before an engaging talk on a topic such as ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why did he die?’ After the talk we divide into small groups to allow time for questions and discussion as well as a chance to see what the Bible says.

Who is Alpha meant for?

Alpha is for everyone, especially:
Those wanting to explore Christianity, new Christians, newcomers to St Dionis, and those who want to brush up on the basics of the Christian faith

What does it cost?

There is no charge made for Alpha
