Vision:

An organization’s vision is perhaps best described as: a preferred picture of the future in which every participating member can see themselves playing a part.

Our vision is to glorify God by being the Christ centred family in Parsons Green.

Seeking to turn this vision into measurable reality will involve us in three key patterns of activity.

i) Growing up (‘Christ centred’) The church is where we seek to ‘reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ’ (Ephesians 4:12-13)
Key activities: Bible study, worship and prayer, learning from and encouraging one another in House Groups, prayer triplets, midweek courses and exploring spiritual gifts.

ii) Gathering in (‘Family’)
As Christians we are called to be part of a people, a household, a family. There is no Christianity without this corporate aspect. ‘You are no longer foreigners and aliens but ….members of God’s household. In Christ you too are being built together to become a dwelling where God lives by His Spirit (Ephesians 2:19-22)
Key activities: evangelism, eg the Alpha course, guests services; welcome suppers and social activities; attention to notice boards, web site, welcome packs.

iii) Going out (‘in Parsons Green’)
As the father has sent me, I am sending you (John 20:21)
Key activities: RAGS (Random Acts of Grace), Mumbies (Mums and toddlers group), Schools work, Fair on the Green,

Values:

All of these activities have some core values wrapped around them. Values describe how we aspire to be as we carry out God’s work in our lives.

As we ‘grow up’, we seek to be: inspiring, challenging, edifying, releasing

As we ‘gather in’, we seek to be: inclusive and inviting, welcoming and accessible, hospitable and relational.

As we ‘go out’, we seek to be: compassionate, generous, obedient, courageous
